User In XP Professional

I recently upgraded my XP home edition to XP Pro (Not a Clean Install).
After I installed SP2 the start up screen now just shows Windows XP.

I want to set up two users as Power Users. I did this in the Adminstrative
Tools but they only have the controls of a XP Home Limited user. I want to
give them more than limited user rights but not admistrator rights.

That is the normal result with Service Pack 2 for all versions of
Windows XP. There is only one master set of updates for Service Pack
2, which is used for all 4 current versions of Windows XP (Home, Pro,
Tablet PC, and Media Center). Rather than include 4 different
startup splash screens in the service pack Microsoft decided just to
use one standard startup screen for all 4 versions.

Your Windows XP version will be identified correctly in Control Panel
- System - General. You can also get there by right-clicking on My
Computer and selecting Properties, or by simultaneously pressing
WinKey plus Pause/Break.

Hope this explains the situation.

Good luck

I have created two users in my home's computer, then I log-in with 1st user
and Start > run: msconfig, then I changed some selection > OK.
After I restart my computer, 1st user was not appear and I had to log-in
with 2nd user, so I couldn't see my document and other application which I
set-up.
How can I restore 1st user?

You may want to test by rebooting into Safe Mode and making all the users =
admin

You will find much more info at:

Thank you, I already restarted the computer in Safe Mode and the
Administrator User was displayed. It didn't disappear as I think.

Best regards,
