User id automation

I need to add 600 users to our school's win2000 server. Is there a way to
automate the process with an Excel file or csv file listing the new ids to
be created. They would all need to be copy of our generic student id.

Hello John,
Yes! definitly, you can doit. There are two
commands "csvde" and "ldifde". go to help in Domain
controller and check help for those two commands. if you
want to create users from excelsheet then you have to use
only csvde. just see help, you can easily understand it.
