User folder icons

For some reason I have lost one of the icons for a folder in my users folder.
(Vistas replacement for xp's my documents folder). The icon in question is
for the "Contacts" folder. All the others are still there its just the
contacts icon that is missing. The folder is there but has a generic folder
icon. I have searched for it, even with an icon program that checks dll files
but still can't find it.

Any help or ideas?

Thanks

Hi Steve,

This happens if the desktop.ini file in the Contacts folder is missing, or lost its Hidden attribute. Make sure that a file named desktop.ini exists in the Contacts folder, with the following contents:

- - -
[.ShellClassInfo]
LocalizedResourceName=@%CommonProgramFiles%\system\wab32res.dll,-10100
InfoTip=@%CommonProgramFiles%\system\wab32res.dll,-10200
IconResource=%SystemRoot%\system32\imageres.dll,-181
- - -

Then right-click on the Desktop.ini file and choose Properties. Enable the "Hidden" attribute, and click OK.

Hi Ramesh,

Can you tell me what I need to do to get the shell folder back for my
Roaming folder? The instructions you gave in another post worked for my
Music folder, but I can't find information on the Roaming folder.

Thanks,
Amanda
