user disappears

I am adding a domain user to the local admin group of my machine but
everything I reboot. It disappears or when I run gpupdate /force


any ideas?

Sounds like there's a Restricted Groups policy in place,
that it keeps 'healing' it back to only the certain
groups that the policy states should be part of local
admins.

Computer Config > Windows > Security Settings >
Restricted Groups
