user acct right-click START crashes

When I right-click the START menu on a new User account
explorer.exe crashes. This does not happen on the single
(default) account, only new Users. Re-installing Windows
XP didn't change anything. Any thoughts?

Does it happen in safemode? Restart the computer and press F8 and choose
safemode. If there is no problem here, click start > run > "msconfig". and
on the startup tab start to eliminate programs starting up and reboot each
time using trial and error to find if one of these programs is causing the
problem.

Also try the following, open control panel, internet options, advanced,
uncheck 'enable 3rd party browser extensions'

Download adaware from www.lavasoftusa.com and remove any spyware that may
have been installed by other programs.

scan at one of the following sites:
