I'd like to use RDS, but my wife doesn't like the user
logon screen to show when she boots the pc. Is there a
way to add a user account, but still have the pc boot
straight to the desktop?

TIA,
Dave

You can create a user account and then hide it in the registry. [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\SpecialAccounts\UserList] Create a new Dword and set it to 0. You may also have to add the administrator account as well.

Hi Dave,

The easiest way to accomplish this is by going to
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/powertoys.asp and
dowloading TweakUI.
When you run tweakui, click on the Logon option and set the account you
would like to autologon. Enter your wifes account and set the password (if
she has one) and then it will automatically log her in when it boots.

Hope this helps!
