Hi Bill

You'll to have use the Administrator's Account - or another Account with
Administrator privileges - to change it back. Reboot and press Ctrl-Alt-Del
twice at the Welcome screen to access the Administrator's Account.

Hi Will thanks for your response, however being a basic computer user i do not know what to do next when this screen comes up. I do not want to mess about with settings and create further problems. therefore could yuo fully explain what i have to do exactly.

Hi Bill

If you have another Account with Administrative privileges use that one to
change your account type - otherwise:

When you come to Welcome Screen hold down the Ctrl & Alt keys and then press
the Del key twice. When the Administrator's Account appears type in the
password for that Account.

With XP Home the default password is blank, so hit Enter.

With XP Pro a password has to be created for that Account during the
installation. You will need to use that password.

Once you have accessed Windows via that Account go to Control Panel>User
Accounts and click on the appropriate Account. Then click on 'Change the
Account type'.
