by switching, do you mean, you renamed the admin acct, or just started
using a different acct?

when you set up your user accounts you have the owner account or
administrator account that is yours and then you can make other accounts for
your family.Well I changed the settings in the original account i set up to
limited and put the administrator setting on a new account .the new account
wont let me do anything without a bunch of empty script errors and blank
windows that come up for what ever I want to do.

I'm not sure how you got in this situation. If you first changed the admin
level account to a non admin, how were you able to change the settings on a
limited user account to admin? That takes an admin account to make those
changes. Is this XP Home or Pro? Try logging in to the built in
Administrator account. For XP Pro from the Welcome Screen do Ctrl-Alt-Del
twice, to get the classic login box. Type Administrator as the user name
and then the password assigned to that account.

For XP Home start in Safe Mode, and Administrator should appear on the
Welcome Screen.

Tip: never change settings on an account like you did without first creating
the replacement account and testing it to make sure it works. This is a
good general rule that applies to all kinds of things. If you're moving
data from one system to another, for example, don't delete the source data
until you know it's been successfully transferred.
