Is it possible to lock an account down, after a number of attempts to crack
a password?

I'm just using xp pro on a standalone pc, with no networking involved.

For information about the Account Lockout threshold,
click Start and then click Help and Support. In the Search box,
type: account lockout , click Start searching, and then click
Full-text Search Matches.

Hi,

Right click my computer and left click on manage
Expand local users and groups on the left hand side
Click on users
On the right hand panes you will see your user account name
Doubble click on this and you will see an option for a lock out

Regards,
Kit
