User account deleted - are files under that account permanently lo

I made a mistake - I think. I wanted to change the name of my "Admin" acct
to my name, so I created another "Admin" acct. I think I deleted the orig
"Admin" acct and now I can't find / access all the documents and pictures
that were stored under it. Have I deleted that information for good? Is
there a way for me to recover those documents and pictures? How? Thanks.
The new acct I created is an Admin acct it that helps.

XP Pro? If yes... When first installed, XP Pro creates a built-in account
named Administrator. If no other user accounts are created, it is the only
user account. However, once a second account within the administrator group
is created, this built in Administrator account "disappears" from the
welcome screen.

You can still access the account by pressing Ctrl+Alt+Del twice at the
welcome screen. The Win2000 style logon prompt will appear. Type in
Administrator for the user name. If you used a password, type that in too
--otherwise leave the password field blank. Once logged on to your old
account, you can copy your personal files over to the folders belonging to
your new user account.
