Hi,
When I launch Outlook 2007 the UAC window opens and asks whether or not I
want to continue to launch Outlook.
If I continue Outlook launches but is in 16 colour mode, mostly grey making
it very hard to use.
How do I stop it asking me if I want to launch Outlook or not?

do you have any Outlook Addins installed that might be doing this? Try
disabling them.

I've disabled all the addins in the trust center, rebooted but its still the
same.

Try the section "To mark an application to always run elevated" applied to
Outlook.exe here :

Also make sure that none of the "Settings" boxes in the Compatibility tab
are checked. If any are that might be the sole cause of the problem.

Bill,
I dont have a Compatability tab availible to me. I ran the "Use an older
program with this version of windows" from the control panel, it says that
Outlook is set to be 256 Colours in WinXP mode. I cant unset these settings
though, I can only change them.

Bill,
Thanks for your help. I found that the exe file had the compatibility
settings set on it for another user that I could'nt see until I clicked the
Show Settings for all users button. Outlook is now back to normal. Many
