Outlook does not launch from Photo Gallery

When I select a photo in the Photo Gallery or from a directory and click on
Email it asks about the size I want etc and then freezes. From Task Manager I
see that there is a process named Outlook but it does nothing.

If Outlook is already running it continues to bring up a new email with the
photos attached as it should.

Any ideas as to why I can not launch Outlook this way?

This started after upgrading from Office 2003 to Office 2007. It worked fine
before the upgrade.

Are you running on Windows Vista?
Try resetting the default mail handler via Start-> Default Programs

Did you recreate your mail profile after the upgrade? It is highly
recommended to do so. In addition I would reset the outcmd.dat and
extend.dat files.

It turns out I found the solution in another thread. When I uninstall Apple
Mobile Services (that got installed with an iTunes upgrade) the conflict went
away and it started working again.

This worked but then I could not sync my iPod. Reinstalled iTunes and now
the problem is back.
