emailing photos as attachments doesn't work

I'm selecting photo's using Windows Gallery, then clicking them to email,
and after selecting the photo resolution, and requesting "attach", the
window says it's 'preparing to send' then closes, and I don't know what
happens to the email message.
The same thing happen if I try to email a Word document to someone from Word
(instead of Windows mail).
What's gong on???

I am having the same problem, in photo gallery, select to email photo , goes
through the 'preparing to send' then closes - then when I try to open 'ms
outlook' the program won't open . I can send photo by selecting New in the
outlook program then attach photo but do not get the option to change the
size of the pic, can someone help me ????
