"Use visual styles on buttons..." wont stay off

Every time I reboot, I have the XP style windows and taskbar. I change
it back to windows classic but it reverts. I've changed it in control
panel under the performance tab and also under 'theme' in display
properties.
Most annoying.

Any help?

Did you try in system propertys ?
click the advance tab , performance window , click for best performance.
