I cannot somehow through properties, settings and advanced
find the nview then 'clone to view the monitor image on
the TV or find nview modes then standard, device settings
and select output device to TV option

I have edited film which plays happily in the media
player, but I want to get this out to either burn on
DVD.or preferably to VCR to pass on to friends

Well, obivously you're a n00b with nVidia then...

Okay... I'll need to know some basic information...

*The make and model and chipset of your nVidia Card
*Has it got a TV-Out or preferably Composite-Out? (S-
Video is baaad for TVs)
*If it's an S-Video out, then nVidia drivers can export a
composite signal down the cable. You just need to conenct
it to the TV
*Your card is connected to your TV, right?

Just open the display control panel, open the settings
page, and click on advanced for the nVidia card in
question. On the pop-up menu, choose nView Display Mode.
Then provided somthing is connected, you should be able
to choose various nView display modes.. you want Clone.

Make sure that full-screen overlay is enabled for the
secondary display on the Overlay section. And connect the
cable to your VCR or DVD burner to record it, and make
sure that your card is capable of MPEG-2 Overlay
export... most of the older GeForce2 and 3 MX cards ARE
NOT capable of this... But I'm assuming you're justing
using normal MPEG... not the DVD MPEG... (MPEG-2)

THats bascially it
