Duel Display viewing

I am trying to watch a mpeg file on my TV set up through
duel display. I use Windows Media Player, to play the
file. The picture shows up fine on my computer monitor
but the display of the mpeg file on the TV is blank.
Everything else shows up on the TV... taskbar, icons,
video games but anything mpeg file that I play through
either WMP, DIVX Player, Realplayer... always show up as
a black screen. How do I fix this? My graphics card is a
Geforce 4 MX5200 128MB AGP TV/OUT.

Same here! I have an ati card. I can watch mpeg 2's on tv
if I set the tv to clone and then set it to theatre mode,
which comes with ati, but maybe not nvidia. What theatre
mode does is when you're watching a video, it
automaticaly fullscreens it onto the tv, and when you're
not watching anything, the tv shows the same thing that
the monitor shows. For some reason, I can watch mpeg2's
that way.

I have a Compaq Persario 2500 laptop using the ATI technology chip. Last
week I downloaded and installed the latest driver from ATI and everything
seemed OK. Today I was trying to show someone a video clip using Windows
Media Player. I have an external monitor also connected to my laptop so
others can see what I see. When the video started playing my friend said he
didn't see the video playing on the monitor. I could not believe it. The
Media Player and all the taskbar, icons were on the monitor but the video was
NOT. It was on my lapstop screen. I then tried to use Real Player and the
same thing happened. Spent hours trying to figure out what was wrong. Then
I decided to ROLL BACK the new driver to the old one. Problem is FIXED!
Perhaps your problem is like mine. It is the DRIVER. I did not know who to
send this too so I thought it might help you. Good Luck.
