Use of Database and Email

I have changed a form to use a database instead of writing to a file. In the
old method I also had an email notify a person upon a user submitting a
change to the form. Now that I have switched to using a Database (FrontPage
2002) I do not have the ability to also create an email. Am I missing
somthing or it this one or the other type of options.
