USB2 Drive Problem

I installed a PCI Card USB2 Firewire combo card in my Win
ME computer over a year ago and it functioned properly in
both Windows and in DOS (using Norton Ghost with included
Iomega USB2 drivers). I used it successfully for a year
with several external USB hard drives. I recently updated
that computer to Win XP Home and now whenever I access my
USB2 external drives, my computer reboots. It started this
partly through the Win XP installation. I can still can
use my external drives in DOS, but not in Windows.

I can use all of my external USB2 drives on my other WIN XP
computer. The second computer has the USB2 interface on
the motherboard and uses the motherboard manufacturer's
drivers.
Both computer cases and power supplies are identical. The
two computers have the same sound card and similar video
boards, similar hard drives, and CDROMs. The motherboards
and processors are also very similar.

I have tried the various suggestions for settings for card
and for the motherboard CMOS settings with no change. I
have all the latest driver updates from Microsoft. I also
tried the drivers for the NEC chipset that came with the
board with no change.
