When my windows xp media computer comes out of hibernation, I lose my usb
ports and must reboot to get them back. Any fixes out there?

Start>Run>type DEVMGMT.MSC and press OK
Scroll down to USB Controllers and rightclick USB RootHub
and click Properties>Power Management tab to uncheck
"Allow computer to turn of this device to save power">OK out.

You can unplug your usb devices and plug them back in or go to start, run,
and type devmgmt.msc and click ok. Expand the usb controllers node and right
click it and select properties, then click the power management tabs, and
clear the allow the computer to turn off this device to save power check box.
