USB to Parallel Adapters in Windows XP

I can't get a usb to parallel cable to install in this
os. Am I doing something wrong or do I need an updated
driver???
 
The parallel port has to be enabled in the Bios and assigned an IRQ and
address. Usually IRQ 3 or 4 but it will give you
a choice of either.
