USB Thumb Drive Stopped Working on Laptop

For some strange reason my USB flash drive has stopped working whenever I try
to use it in my laptop. It still works when I plug it into other computers.
It is a Corsair Flash Voyager 1GB USB drive. I've uninstalled and
reinstalled the driver the thumb drive came with and it still doesn't work.
I've gone to Device Manager and tried to update driver, but it says cannot
find one.

When I plug it into my laptop you can hear that it found a new hardware, but
it will not display as Removeable drive and I can search for it.

Any suggestions?

You shouldn't need to install a driver for a USB thumb drive....Windows
should just find & accept it.
Take a look in Computer Management | Disk Management to see whether it shows
up there....

Try to delete it in the device manager and reattach it then.
