Flash Drive Problem

When I plug in my Corsair 1GB USB flash drive into both my PC &
laptop, I get the following error msg:

A USB device has malfunctioned and exceeded the power limits of its
hub port. You should disconnect the device.

I have never had this happen before. The last thing I did was left it
in the laptop when I was downloading XP SP3 overnight.

Does this mean I lost all my data on the flash drive? If so, does
anyone recommend a good data recovery program? Can anyone help?

Thanks.

I also had problems after with programs and devices after installing SP3
Just go to control pannel and uninstall SP3 and it will roll back to SP2 and
then try puting your flash drive in again and see what happens, you could try
your flash in another system with SP2 then you will no for sure.

You USB port is not working. The flash drive should not be defective.
