When I was using Win 98 I used to store mp3s etc on a 'QUANTUM FIREBALLP
AS USB DEVICE.
I have now upgraded to WIN XP and am unable to access files stored in it.
What do i do? I feel that the usb storage adapter is not functioning
with win xp but an icon appears on the taskbar and it says that the
device can be 'safely removed'.

Some help would be really appreciated.

Assume this device is an external drive that plugs into an USB port. Might check manufacturer website for a driver upgrade such that XP recognizes all the device features. XP is suppose to be "plug-n-play" on all USB devices, but sometimes USB 1.1 devices are not fully supported.... How old is this Fireball device?
