USB stopped working after upgrade to WIN XP Pro

Hi All:
I just upgraded 3 week old HP zd7000 Series Laptop (moel
cl188) to xp professional from home edition. I cannot get
USb ports to recognize anything. I have disabled power
management per Microsoft. I have re-installed the chipset
utility. I have uninstalled and reinstalled USB Root Hubs.

I would be grateful for any suggestions.

Laptops are often designed for one OS only ie the OS it came with.
Contact HP for the fix, assuming it's been developed.

Did you try uninstalling the USB controllers? I had the same exact
problem, and simply uninstalled the USB controllers, rebooted, and
they reinstalled and are able to detect devices again.
