USB Speed

Is there a way to tell what the speed of a USB port actually is? I have a 2.0
USB card but I'm not sure it is really 2.0 speed. I have too many strange
problems on those ports and would like to first check to see if they are what
they should be.

The speed with which a USB drive - or a hard drive, CD drive, network
drive, etc. - actually transfers data depends on many factors. The speed
ratings published for devices are the maximum speed attainable under
laboratory conditions. You do not expect to achieve that in real life.

If you'd like to know what kind of USB ports your computer has, try:

"How can I tell if I have USB 2.0?"

If you'd like help from your fellow users, we'll need a lot more to work
with than "too many strange problems."

And how about this: USB 3.0 is on the way.
