USB problems w/ fresin install of XPHE

im new to this forum and this is my first post but..........here w
go..

Pro Tools LE <--- music software, doesnt run on XP systems wit
service pack 2.... so... i uninstall service pack 2 and have tons o
problems... i format the c: drive, reinstall windows xp hom
edition... and now it wont recognize any of my USB devices???? wha
is going on here??? my mouse, printer, game pad, MBox... nothin
works....

can anyone please help!!!!! this is putting a huge hamper on m
productivity...

things i have tried..
-cmos shows all usb options are on or enable
-downloaded latest drivers from intel for my chip set (Dell 4600, 86
chipset
-spoke with dell support... theyre about as knowledgeable as
doorkno
-prayed and prayed and prayed (im not even religious) ;

try taking your com back to an earlier time . like system restore? I'm kinda
new too. I had probs with my keyboard wasn't being reconized and wouldn't
work. Anotherwords keyboard failure would keep coming up everytime I booted
my com. Turns out the keyboard had a usb plug setup so I had an adapter on it
so it would pulg in right next to the mouse on my tower. Well when I took off
the adapter I think they call it ps2 adapter sometimes but anyways whammo it
worked. I just had to plug it into the usb slot which was np. But anyways
yeah take it back to an earlier time my friend and maybe you'll have nps back
to before you installed SP2. ok good luck cu
