USB Problem

I have Asus P4B533-E mobo and the hardware/device removed and added
notification (Windows XP) sounds off constantly, 24/7, non-stop!!! I know
it's the USB devices connected, because either my scanner, PocketPC, flash
card reader or MP3 player power indicaters keep going off (& on).

Is there something wrong with the USB ports on this mobo or it's drivers?
How do I resolve these connection problems?

TIA

P.S. - In case this matters: All 4 ports in the back are plugged up (MP3
player, PocketPC, media center remote reciever & 4 port hub (w/ all them
plugged up too)) and the 2 in the front are plugged up (printer and
bluetooth adapter).

I don't seem to have problems with my USB connectors. Are you running all
the devices at the same time? Does the message appear no matter what you
have plugged in? Have you updated any drivers for the USB? Are any devices
you have 2.0?

If the power indicators on your devices are going on and off, maybe you have
a bad cable, or a bad connection on the motherboard that is interrupting the
USB power. I would try running just one device at a time.

I don't remember for sure, but are there some USB connectors on the
motherboard, and do they exhibit the same behavior? What size power supply
are you using?
