USB Printer

Plugging in my usb printer causes my pc not to boot, it
works with other usb devices just not with the printer, it
will not even boot past post. Its an older compaq running
Windows 98.
 
Please repost in the Windows98 newsgroup. This is for XP mainly!!!!!
