USB ports too slow ...why ?

i have a pentium 4 with windows xp professional sp2,
when i attach a pen drive 4 gb and download a file
like 2-3 gb is too slow the file charge in 15-20 minutes!!!

The same file in my pc portable set in this pen drive in
ONLY 5-8 minutes ! why is too slow ???

i tested with a progamm and say that have 2.0 USB PORTS!

there is a mictosoft patch or hotfix to FASTED the usb ports ?

Are you doing the same operation?

Writing to a flash device is much slower than Reading from one.
