Check in your Device Manager to see if they are disabled.

In SP2: Right-click "My Computer" and click Properties, Click the Hardware
tab, and then the Device Manager button.

If something is disabled or not functioning correctly, there will be a
notation of some sort and the tree will be expanded.

Mark gave you a good idea. If that does not work I suggest you try
another newsgroup. This is the Microsoft Access Database newsgroup. It
appears your question is not related to that database. You are much more
likely to find someone with the answer if you post your question to a
newsgroup devoted to your subject.

Joseph, I personally think this particular newsgroup is unintentionally
posted to. I know when I first came across it a long time ago, I saw
"Microsoft Public Access" after I saw a link for a free support news group.

But, you are correct, going to the proper group is much more helpful.
