Greetings All:
My 83 year old mother loves playing simple music on a Casio keyboard. But
after 3 years she has figured out all the 120 songs that came loaded and my
brother (he is the one with all the money lol) bought her a new keyboard, so
i told him to buy one that had the build in smart media cards. Casio states
you have to have a 3.3 V only not 5 V card so initially we had a hard time
finding one, but when he did. I bought a Dazzle Hi-Speed USB 2.0 Reader
Writer to write to the cards. But when i attempted to install the Dazzle
into one of my two Front USB Ports, device manager did not recognize it? The
instructions were clear that the device was plug and play and no driver
software was needed. Well after hours of trouble shooting to no avail, i
finally unplugged the device from the front of my Gateway and plug it into
one of my spare USB ports on the back of the computer and sure enough it
worked. My only question now, is ?...somewhere in help an support it said if
my USB ports were not working i might have to go into BIOS set up and enable
them? I believe but can anyone give me guidance on this, and if the USB
ports work in the back of the computer why would the ones on the front all
two of them not work?
TIA
