USB Port not accepted by Net Use

When I try to set up a USB printer to print through the
command prompt, it says "printing", then "deleting", and
the job disappears.

I have no problem using parallel printers by using the
following commands:
net use lpt1 /delete
net use lpt1 \\server\printer name

But when I substitute USB001 for Lpt1, I get an error
message "the network connection could not be found",
and "error 67 has occurred". I have already typed "net
print \\server\printer name" before this.

I am using a Lexmark X73 printer. I have no problem
printing to this printer from Windows.

What commands should I use to print in command prompt?

Thank You
