usb port driver

I have lost access to my usb port and was wondering if a
specific usb driver can be installed to re activate the
port. I am running xp and have an msi chipset. thanks.

Can't help with your specific problem but I lost my
parallel port (printer) after installing XP Service Pack 1
and can't help wondering if the problems are related.
Have you installed SP1 yet?
