I have a USB mouse plugged into my laptop and can't work
out how to change it to left handed - when I change the
settings it only works on the laptop mouse not the one
plugged in. HELP!!!

Deanne, if your USB mouse came with software, and you have it installed, is
there an icon on the task bar to use for mouse settings?

I didn't get any software with the mouse however if you
go into control panel, mouse settings, hardware, drivers
it shows you the driver details where you can update the
driver - show I be searching for another driver?

Well, if you have a very generic mouse, I am not sure a new driver would
necessarily give you a taskbar icon. It might, but I am only familiar with
a few pointing devices. I would hate to have you download and then have it
cause any sort of problem, while not solving the original problem. If your
mouse didn't come with its own disk, it probably is not designed to "do
tricks." On the other hand, if you know anyone who has a brand-name pointing
device, you might borrow it and its driver disk and see if you can reverse
the buttons on that device.

I am sure that people who know how to edit the registry could figure this
out.
Also, it doesn't take very long to get used to right-hand mouse clicking, as
long as you don't have to switch back and forth on a regular basis.
Sorry I am not more knowledgeable.
