USB Malfunction

My usb devices have been working fine for a very long long time, but now...my
devices are starting to mafunction..this is unsual for me...i have windows XP
SP2 with a Compaq Presario 5000 pc. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My usb devices are my keyboard, mouse, and network adapter, and all stop
working at a random time unknown to me. I do not see any yellow circles next
to my usb ports either in device manager.

Remove and reinstall all USB controllers.Then update the drivers(from
the manufacturer's websites).

The removal and reinstall worked perfectly. I had the same problem. Thank
you.
