USB HUB 4 port

My XP does not have any driver to recognaise this device
automatically. Is that normal? How can I sort the problem
out?

If this hub is external, there are no drivers (to look for) as Windows
already has them and will install them for you. I bet it does recognize
the device if it is external, but first, do any USB products work in its
ports? If so, it is installed and running fine and you can find it as a
Generic USB Hub in Device Manager (Start-Run-Devmgmt.msc). If this is
an internal card, most of them are plug and play, but you may need
drivers. Again, try a device in it and if it works, it will say the
same thing as above - Generic USB Hub or USB 2.0 Compliant Hub.
