I cannot see my Flash Drive (SimpleTech USB 2.0) using Windows Explorer or
My Computer. However, I can see the Flash Drive using Microsoft Office
applications (from File, Open commands). Any suggestion on how I can fix
this would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Jim McDonnell

Hi Jim,

Try changing the Drive letter associated with the Flashdrive,

To do this Go to Start then Run then type:
compmgmt.msc
Then press enter or return, now click on Disk management and take a look at
the lower part of the window and try to identify your Flash drive (normally
easiest just to compare the sizes). Now right click on the disk description
box (on the left) and select change drive letter and paths. Either choose to
change the drive letter or add (if it does not currently have a letter
assigned) and choose a different letter from the list, click o.k. then o.k.
again.

Now look at the top section to confirm the volume is showing then close the
Computer management console and try accessing the drive through explorer etc
as required.

Barry,
Thanks for the advice. I'll give it a shot.

Sincerely,

Jim McD.
