USB external print servers

Does anyone have experiences - good or bad - of using an external USB print
server to share a (Lexmark) printer between XP and 98SE systems on a local
network? Since I can't get my 98 systems to access the printer when it's
attched to the XP machine (see my recent post in the Win98 Networking
forum), I thought I'd try this
approach instead.

Neil:

To make this work I had to enable a user account on my XP
system with permissions to the printer and then require a logon on my
98 system with the same user name and password as XP.
