Hello

A customer bought a new Acer laptop 9301 with Vista Premium and bought an
external harddisc from Packard Bell Store & Save 3500 320 gb but WIndows
Vista refuses to accept the drive.
What's the problem? are there any new USB drivers needed?

Thnx

I have a 150 GB Seagate external USB2, works fine. (full install of Vista
Home Premium).

If the drive is brand new and has never been formated the user will have to
do that befor it is seen.

Control Panel
System and Maintenance
Under Administrative Tools (scroll to near bottom) select Create and format
hard disk partitions.

I had a similar problem with my desktop, I had to wait a couple weeks for
updated motherboard drivers, and those fixed the problem.
