Your post is unclear, as to whether the USB ports aren't functioning, or if
they are functioning, but you're unable to find the drivers for the USB
devices that you're plugging into those ports.
If the USB Ports aren't working: Check and see if USB Support is enabled in
your system setup (BIOS), usually accessed by pressing a key mentioned on
your screen BEFORE the Windows logo appears. If the USB support setting
has somehow been changed to disabled, enable it. Then exit your system
setup using the option to Save Settings and Exit. The system should then
boot to Windows XP and automatically install the USB controller drivers,
which activate the USB ports. Then manually install the drivers for each USB
hardware component according to the instructions that came with the device.
If USB Support wasn't disabled in the system setup, and the USB ports aren't
active, check whatever CDs came with your system, and see if any contain the
drivers you need. If you've lost the drivers and or instructions for the
various USB hardware components, go to the web site of the maker of the USB
hardware component, then download and install the correct USB Windows XP
compatible drivers for that component.
