USB drive not working?

This morning I went to plug my ipod into my PC, but nothing showed, no
charging sign, and it didn't show on the computer, My USB Flash drive or
printer (also connected by USB cable) don't work either. Is there a way I can
fix this myself?
 
You need to give us more information. Is it usb1 or 2? What windows are you
running, etc.

fix this myself? It' a windows XP, the computer's about a year and a half old. Its not just one of the ports, it's all of them.
