USB drive can only be seen by WMP

I have a usb drive that has somehow been set up t autosync with WMP10. When
I put the drive in WMP asked if i wanted to sync(auto or manual) I canceled
and clicked the x to close the window. Now only WMP can access the usb drive
and no othe program can use it. It does not show up in "My Computer" either.
I can access it from command line or WMP only.

When I searched for help all i could find is removing devices from auto sync
and they are no help. The drive shows up automatically in the sync window.
The directions say to remove it from the library, but it does not show up in
that tab. Am I looking in the wrong place for a fix? I am guessing that it
is WMP causing the problem because it is the only program that can see the
USB device.

Thanks,

No one knows why WMP has hijacked my drive? I guess everyone loves this
"feature". Well for anyone else with this stupid problem you can use your
usb drive by opening it through WMP by gonig to file and open and selecting
the usb drive. then while you have that window open you can copy/paste/move
files to and from the drive.

If I wasn't forced to use Windows at work I would never use it at all. I
can't believe I am being forced you to use their software to watch
movies/listen to music off of my own usb drive. Screw MS and their BS
software "features".
