USB Devices

For some reason window will nolonger find one of my USB
devices. I have done almost everthing I could think of
short of restoring my computer to it shell XP home. The
problem also is that it will pick up all my other device
I plug into my machine. I am confused and I can not find
any article to help me.
 
What device doesn't work and what devices do work? What
type of mobo do you have? Are you connecting direct to the
ports on the mobo, an add-in card or an external hub? Is it
USB 1.0, 1.1 or 2.0
