USB Devices not Recognised by Window XP SP2

My PC used to be in good shape but without any modification (hardware or
software which I'm aware of), newly purchased memory sticks (VAIO 2GB and
Scandisk U3 curzer Micrfo 2GB) were not automatically recognised/installed.
Manual installation by XP were failed.

I then went to the Device Manager and uninstall USB controllers hoping that
after reboot everything will be reinstalled. Situation even worse, now all my
USB devices are not working which including mouse, printer, keyboard etc...

Appreciate if someone could help me out....thanks very much
