USB devices no longer working

Dennis

After performing a repair (reload) of WinXP, the usb
devices that were plugged in during the repair no longer
function, including a Logitech wireless keyboard/mouse
combo, a Logitech webcam, and an ATI Remote Wonder. I
tried uninstalling drivers and software for the devices,
and used Regcleaner to remove entries from the registry
to no avail. While plugging and unplugging the USB
devices I no longer get the typical chime sound that used
to accompany the action.
