For the last 3-4 weeks, my Pentium 4 (Windows XP Home SP2) shuts down and
reboots every time I remove a USB device (digital cameras, hub, card reader,
game controller, etc). This has never happened in the past. I have tried
the "Safely remove hardware" icon procedure in the system tray, and when it
says "OK to remove" the system still shuts down. Looking for ideas to try
here. I've already installed a power supply with a greater capacity to no
avail. Any ideas?
Thanks!

Go to Start/Run, and type DEVMGMT.MSC , highlight the USB Hub devices, Action menu, "Uninstall", then restart Windows, to find the
device drivers again automatically.
