usb device not reconized

I just bought a fellowes wireless keyboard. When I plug it in and reboot it
says no keyboard reconized. Then when windows opens it says found new
hardware but does not find a driver. It searches to no avail and I get an
error 28 when I check device manager. I called fellowes support and they said
it is suppose to work with the microsoft drivers. How do I get this keyboard
to work

Is this an older computer?
If so .. it may be a problem with USB not being active during bootup ... you
may need to go into your bios and see if everything for USB keyboard or USB
in general is enabled.. that may solve the no keyboard found error .. as for
installing drivers for it .. you may try other USB ports on the system .. if
it has front panel ones try one of those .. if it has two sets in the back
try both sets.. it may be a usb2.0 compatible keyboard and an older system
may only have usb1.1 ports available.

Thanks for the reply. The computer is from 2001. Checked bios and shows usb
enabled. The computer was a usb 1.1 and I had upgraded with a 2.0 card with
seperate sets to plug into. Tried both sets and still does not work. It says
a driver for an hid wireless device. any other suggestions.
