USB Device not recognized

I recently purchased a Palm Pilot and installed the software but when I tried to hook up the USB device to the computer, it would not recognize it. I have tried all the ports to no avail. Other USB devices are working and I am having no problems with it. I have also contacted Palm, Inc. but am not getting anywhere. Is there something I'm doing wrong?

I have just had a similar problem with my computer not
recognising USB devices and found this patch. Everything
is working as advertised now.
