Have a wireless network. Three PC's: 2 wireless (1 laptop/1 desktop) and 1 LAN cabled to Linksys Broadband router.
My problem persists with the wireless laptop (XP home). I'm using a Linksys USB Wireless adaptor (external). On startup/reboot, it's hit or miss for Windows detecting that USB device (no other USB components being used). My laptop typically serves as proof there's nothing wrong with the wireless signal.
I've recently updated the adaptor driver, hoping it would resolve the issue; no luck. Once the connection is established, there's no issues of dropping the signal.
Is there a way to force USB detection of the adaptor? Am I missing something?
Thanks in advance for any help
