USB-Connected Hard Drive?

I just got a new entertainment center that lets you plug a flash drive
into it and it will play media files off of it.

Is there any way that I could connect my desktop to the center via USB
cable and play media files off of my hard drive? Essentially making my
desktop work like a large flash drive?

Thanks for any ideas!

Probably not directly like you are suggesting. But if your entertainment
center and your computer support networking, and if the entertainment center
has that capability, then you might via that method.
